As you are probably aware, the provincial government announced yesterday that the current lockdown will be extended to May 20, 2021. COVID-19 cases are increasing at a faster rate than we’ve seen in previous waves and a higher range of demographics are susceptible to hospitalization as a result of the variants of concern. It is important that we do not let ourselves become immune to this information, and react by staying home to keep our community safe and our hospitals available to people in emergencies. This is a good time to reach out to a frontline healthcare worker that you know and thank them for all that they have been doing, are doing, and will continue to do until we can finally reach the end of this pandemic.
Mental Health services are continuing to stay open during this time. Our Registered Psychotherapist, Dana Bulic, is working hard to help accommodate everyone that is in need of support during this time. You may book a free virtual consultation, or an in-person appointment by clicking the link below. If you need to speak with someone sooner than the first available appointment, please don’t hesitate to email us at [email protected] and we will do our best to accommodate you. Visit our website to keep up to date with our group therapy programs.
Osteopathic Manual Therapy and Registered Massage Therapy appointments will continue to be unavailable during the extended lockdown period. We will be moving scheduled appointments out proportionately to how they are currently booked. If the new appointment time does not work for you, you may reschedule by accessing your online account by following the link below or emailing us at [email protected].
Thank you tremendously for the sacrifices that you have made over the last year to contribute to the successes that we have experienced as a community throughout this battle with COVID-19. Not once yet in Ontario have we reached the worst case scenario predictions because our community members care enough to act; to put the health of their neighbours first and stay home to keep everyone safe. The changes that you’ve made in your activities have potentially saved the lives of the people around you, and this wave is no different. It can, and will, come to an end as we adhere to public health guidelines while more and more of the population is getting vaccinated. The light is big and bright at the end of the tunnel, all we need to do is keep walking.
We look forward to seeing you in the offices as soon as we are able and resuming our journeys together toward your health and wellness goals. Stay home, stay safe and stay healthy!
Yours in Health,
The Walking Tree Wellness Team
